    Phthisis. —This disease, the type of the tubercular group of diseases, was the cause of 477 deaths, compared to 481 in 1899, 484 in 1898, and 486 in the year previous to that. The incidence of this disease in the Sub-Districts was as follows:—

    Bronchitis, Pneumonia, and Pleurisy. —These diseases, as typical of the respiratory group diseases, caused 845 deaths, compared to 963 deaths in 1899, 733 in 1698, and 820 in 1897; the incidence in the Sub-Districts being as follows:—
