The Sections relating to hospital provision are within the power of either
the Metropolitan Asylums Board or the Borough Council to apply to
measles, having approved of the necessary expenditure, and obtained confirmation
by the Local Government Board of the provision to be made.
If the Sections relating to or involving responsibility by the Borough
Council for cleansing and disinfection are applied to measles, the
Sections relating to notification were better applied also rather than not,
in order that the cases may be all included and dealt with, and those
medically attended medically certified, always understanding that in the
absence of hospital provision, qualified results may be expected.
