DEATHS.
During the year 1900, the corrected total number of deaths from all causes
at all ages was 4655, being 316 less than during the preceding year, and 182
below the annual average of the preceding ten years. Per 1000 of the
population the death-rate was 19.1 compared with 20.l in the previous year,
and an annual average of 20.2 in the preceding decennium.
