24th April. -E. K., female, aged 41, James Street, High Street, Camden
Town. Charwoman. Works for M. A. M.
27th „ H. B., female, aged 31, Wharncliffe Gardens, St. John's
Wood. Visited G. E. C. before his removal.
7th May.—J. H., male, aged 37, same block in Wharncliffe Gardens as
H. B., died before removal to hospital could be effected.
20th „ D. W. G., male, aged 16, Benton Place, Dorset Square.
Patient's father employed by the Marylebone Vestry as
disinfector, and he removed the clothes from the house in
Wharncliffe Gardens where the man died of small-pox.
Patient works on the Metropolitan Railway.
21st „ E. H., wife of J. H., and who had gone into the country,
was notified on this date to be suffering from small-pox.
ENTERIC FEVER.
Personal Infection and Typhoid Fever.—Following up the outbreak of
typhoid in a family illustrative of personal infection Telated in my Annual
Report for 1892, the two appended outbreaks stated in tabular form further
illustrate the danger of personal infection in the nursing of typhoid fever
in small dwellings by unskilled persons.
