Longevity.—It may be of interest to notice
that the table printed below shows that of the 189
deaths that are credited to this district for the past
year no less than GO or 307 per cent. of the number
were of 70 years and upwards and contained
one male registered as being 101 years at death.
The deaths under one year of age were 27, and these added to the 60 of 70 years and over leave 102 to represent the mortality between the very young and the very old, or a death rate of 5.4 per 1,000 of the population.
