Of the one hundred and one samples, twelve were certified
to be adulterated; and in Table II will be found the numbers of
genuine and adulterated samples of the various articles examined:-

The numbers of genuine and sophisticated samples during the
year ending March 31st, 1893, are compared in the next table (Table
III.) with the corresponding figures for the years 1887—90, taken
from the reports for those years of the Local Government Board, and
with the figures for 1891—92 :—
