Assistance towards the services of Home Helps was granted in 26
cases.
ACCOUCHMENT BAGS.
These are available at the Centres and are loaned to the mothers in
suitable cases.
CASES OF DISCHARGING EYE AND NOTIFIED OPHTHALMIA
NEONATORUM.
32 cases of Discharging Eye occurred during the year, 22 of which
were notified as Ophthalmia Neonatorum.

Two cases were removed from home to hospital.
*Occurred after the midwife had ceased to visit. One case taken to hospital
by the mother. Two cases—parents sought medical advice.
