(i) Plague.—2 persons were reported to have been in con^
tact with cases of Plague on board ship. These contacts were
visited and kept under observation for the usual period.
(j) Puerperal Fever.—There were 3 cases of Puerperal Fever
notified during the year. All of these recovered. Two were
treated at the Isolation Hospital and one at the London Hospital.
2. Zymotic Diseases.—The deaths registered were as
follows:—

Scarlet Fever —
Whooping Cough 2
Diphtheria and Croup 1
Enteric Fever 1
Diarrhoea 6
This gives a Zymotic death-rate for 1924 of .24 per 1,000 of
the net population.
The Zymotic death-rate for the previous five years was .26 in
1923, .32 in 1922, .37 in 1921, .53 in 1920, and .31 in 19119.
(3) Tuberculosis.—During the year 1924 there were 106
new notifications of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and 26 of other
forms of Tuberculosis.
