Mental Condition.—In four cases the mental condition
is bright. In eleven cases it is average. In nine cases it
is dull. In two of the dull cases the children are respectively
described as mischievous and wilful.
Children Attending Day Special Schools.
1 he following' Table shews the age at which the first
epileptic seizure occurred in the four cases in this group:—

First Onset in Relation to School Attendance.—
All these four children had their first attack prior to
attendance at any school. Of these four children three
started in ordinary elementary schools but were unable to
continue at those schools on account of the severity or
frequency of the epileptic seizures. Two of these three
children attended the ordinary elementary school at The age
of six and one at the age of seven. The four children
entered the Day Special Schools as follows:—One at the age
of seven, two at the age of eight, and one at the age of
ten.
Regularity of Attendance.—In two of these cases the
children are regular in their attendance at school, but in the
remaining two the attendance is irregular.
Mental Condition.—In two cases the mental condition
is bright, and in two dull. One of the dull children gets into
rages.
