During the heavy rains which have fallen during the summer
Ravcnslea months flooding has occurred in this road at a point near
Road- the Battersea boundary In order to prevent the sewage
backing up into private premises two flap valves have been fixed in the
Council's sewer, which have so far prevented a recurrence of this
trouble.
The 12-inch pipe sewer has been extended from opposite "Langley"
West Hill. to the west side of " Woodlands" and a manhole con-
structed, at a cost of ₤210 3s. 9d. The owner of
" Woodlands " contributed ₤50 towards the cost.
A new 18-inch pipe sewer with four manholes has been constructed
Wimbledon on the site of a suggested new road in extension of
Park Estate. Granville Road, Wandsworth, to the western boundary
of Melrose Gardens, at a cost of ₤382 15s. 1d.. The owners of land
through which the sewer passes contributed the sum of ₤242 towards
the cost.
