A new 6-inch pipe sewer has been constructed from manhole north
Beaumont "Lincluden" to drain " Ravenswood," which had
Road. hitherto drained into a cesspool. The cost, including
one manhole and emptying cesspool, was ₤75 is.
The dead end of the 12-inch pipe sewer opposite No. 1 has been
Egliston connected to the 12-inch pipe sewer in Putney Lower
Road. Common South at the manhole near All Saints Church,
at a cost of ₤4 2s. 8d.
The old brick barrel sewer at the rear of High Street, WandsGarratt
worth, from the Technical Institute to the County Court,
Lane. Garratt Lane, has been taken up and a 9-inch pipe sewer
with two manholes constructed in lieu thereof, at a cost of ₤72 14s. 7d.
The New Streets Committee, considering that this road was
sufficiently built upon, decided to make up the widened
Mount
Ephraim
Road portion as a new street. It was necessary before taking
over as a highway to lay a new sewer to take the surface
water from the roadway, as none existed. A 9-inch pipe sewer
surrounded with concrete has been laid, at a cost of ₤125 4s. 3d.
