Three of the deaths occurred at the ages one to five, one from
five to 15, 159 from 25 to 65, and 79 over 65 years of age.
The following Table shows the number of deaths according to
the parts of the body affected.

68 of these deaths occurred in external institutions, 25 in the
Union Infirmary, and 43 in General and Special Hospitals.
69 out of the total number of deaths occurred among females
from Cancer of the breast or uterus.
The next Table shows the death-rate per 100,000 for each of the
separate sub-districts and for the whole Borough.
The rate has increased in Clapham, Putney and Tooting, while
there has been a decrease in the rate in Streatham and Wandsworth.
