Bacteriological Examinations. These examinations were not taken advantage
of to the same extent as in 1899,
but in those cases in which the examination was made,
the results were of great value to the medical practitioner.
In all nine examinations were made (six of
Diphtheria and three of Typhoid Fever). Five of these
(three of Typhoid and two of Diphtheria) had positive,
and four, all of Diphtheria, had negative results.
Notices regarding Tubercular Diseases The number of copies ot the above left at
houses by the sanitary inspectors during
house-to-house inspection, after notification
of cases of infectious disease, or after death from Phthisis
or other disease of a tubercular nature, was 250.
