The Public Analyst, in his several quarterly reports during the year, reported against the articles examined as follows: —

Milk, Butter and Oleaginous Foods —900 samples of these foods,
which are set out in the Table given below, were analysed by the Public
Analyst during the year, and of these 76, or 8'4 per cent., were adulterated,
as compared with 10'2 in the preceding year.
Since 1905 the percentages of these foods found to be adulterated were as follows:—
