SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
During the year ending 30th December, 1911, 1,627 samples were
taken by the Inspectors.*
The following Table shews the localities in which these samples were
taken:—

168 of these samples were certified as adulterated, a percentage
of 10.3. Compared with the percentage for the previous year an
increase of 4.0 is shewn.
Particulars of the samples taken together with the results of the
analyses are given in table 68.
* Mr. Howes, inspector for Trinity Ward, carried out his duties as Assistant
Inspector under the Food and Drugs Acts, at different periods, amounting to eighteen
week days during 1911.
