Deaths of residents occurring in outlying public institutions are
allocated to their respective Wards according to the addresses of the
deceased as received from the Registrar-General's Department.
Table No. 19 gives a list of the institutions in which the deaths
occurred.

MORTALITY AT GROUP OF AGES.
The 1671 deaths recorded during the year included 583 children
under five years of age. There were 366 deaths' under one year, 217
one to five, 53 five to fifteen, 46 between fifteen and twenty-five, 543
between the ages of twenty-five and sixty-five and 446 of persons
upwards of sixty-five.
