The deaths registered in Deptford numbered 1063 equalling a death.
rate of 9.3, as compared with 932 and a death.rate of 8.2 for the
preceding year. Of this number, 224 were non.parishioners. The
deaths of Deptford residents occurring outside the Borough in public
institutions were 735, making a total of 1,574 deaths belonging to this
Borough. Of these 829 were males and 745 were females. The death
rate was 13.8, compared with 12.2 in 1921.
