Common
Lodging
Houses.
The only registered common lodging-house, Nos. 186 and
188, High Street, Merton, has been visited and the periodical
cleansing enforced. No breach of bye-laws has been found.
Several night visits were made to two other sets of premises
used somewhat similarly to common lodging-houses, but found on
each occasion kept in a cleanly state and well managed, and it was
decided to deal with these under the bye-laws for houses let in
lodgings.
