HOUSES LET IN LODGINGS.
30 houses let in lodgings are now on the Register, but a
much larger number remain unregistered. It is in these sub-let
houses that overcrowding and insanitary conditions exist, and I
am hopeful that soon, with the staff at its full complement, the
Committee will be able to do a great deal of work in ameliorating
these conditions and protecting the public health.
COMMON LODGING HOUSES.
There are two registered common lodging houses within the
district. Both are under constant supervision and are kept in
good order.
