Trade Premises.
Under this heading are included dairies, cowsheds,
milk-shops, slaughterhouses, fish-shops, etc., all of
which are inspected quarterly and at other times as
occasion arises. The numbers of such premises on the
registers are given in Table 2, and I am pleased to be
able to state that there were very few violations of the
Regulations and Byelaws, and cautions were quite
sufficient to compel attention to the various requirements
of the Council.
In the early part of the year I reported that it would
be of great advantage to the district if the Council
would declare by Order the business of fish-frying to
