The late
Mr. Charles
Harris.
The fact of the serious illness of Mr. Charles Harris, who
had acted as the representative of this Board at the Metropolitan
Board of Works for over thirty years, was mentioned in
the last Annual Report, and it was stated that a resolution
had been passed thanking him for his long and valuable
services, at the same time expressing sympathy with him,
and a hope that his retirement might be conducive to his
comfort and peace of mind during the closing period of his
life. The resolution, which was suitably engrossed upon
vellum in the form of a testimonial, was presented to him by
Mr. Richard Hunt, the Chairman of the previous meeting to
whom it had been entrusted for that purpose, on the 10th

the half-year only to be ended 29th September. Fresh Precepts will therefore have
to be issued for the second half of the financial year.
