2s. 5d. per 1,000 feet, and of that supplied to the public lamps,
not on the meter system, to £2 7s. 4d., less the usual discount
of 5 per cent. if paid within a month.
Finances.
In consequence of alterations in the Valuation Lists which
came into force on the 6th April, 1886, whereby the rateable
value of the district as a whole has been reduced since the
Precepts of the Metropolitan Board of Works and the School
Board for London were issued, a claim was made by this
Board for a return or recoupment of the sums paid in excess,
with the result that the following sums have been remitted,
viz :—

The reduction is, however, applicable to Christchurch Parish
only, there being a slight increase in the rateable value of
St. Saviour's, the proportions being as follows, viz.:—

Precepts to meet the estimated expenditure for Sewer and Drainage Work, Paving, Lighting, Scavenging, Dusting, &c., have during the financial year been issued as under:—
