The only rank which has a Cabmen's Shelter is that in
St. James's Square. The shelter was provided and is maintained
at private expense.
CAB RADIUS.
In the month of April a communication was received
from the Lewisham District Board of Works, suggesting that
the cab radius of four miles from Charing Cross should be
abolished. Bearing in mind that since this radius was
formed the suburbs of London have been transformed from
rural to urban communities, the Vestry passed a resolution
expressing concurrence in the view that the time had arrived
when the limit of four miles for the regulation of cab fares
should be abolished.
PILLAR LETTER BOXES.
With the assent of the Yestry, pillar letter boxes have been
erected by the Postmaster-General in the under-mentioned
thoroughfares:—
Western District.
Albany.
Beak Street.
Brewer Street.
Burlington Gardens.
Coventry Street.
Golden Square.
Great Marlborough Street.
New Burlington Street.
Piccadilly, by the Egyptian Hall.
Regent Street, by Hanover Street.
Regent Street, by Piccadilly Circus.
Regent Street, Quadrant.
Sackville Street.

The cost of maintaining the urinals during the year is as follows: —
