During the year the urinal in Broad Street has been
entirely reconstructed, and its position altered from the
south side of the street to the centre of the road; this work
involved an outlay of £206, but by an improvement in
the arrangements for flushing, the annual cost of water has
been reduced from £35 to £6. All the other urinals have
required various repairs, mostly due to malicious damage done
at night.
The action taken with regard to the contemplated construction
of conveniences at Piccadilly Circus is mentioned
on page 56.

The following is a list of public urinals erected and maintained by the Vestry:—

It will be observed that, as foreshadowed in the Report
for the previous year, a considerable economy has been
effected in the cost of water for flushing, without in the
slightest degree impairing the efficiency of the service.
