The corrected number of deaths in the parish from all
causes during the corresponding quarter of the years 1877—
1885, was as under:—

In the public institutions in the parish there were 114
deaths—viz., 39 in the Workhouse, 13 in the Children's
Hospital, 3 in the Lock Hospital, and 59 in St. Mary's
Hospital. The 39 deaths in the Workhouse (15 males and
24 females) being regarded as those of parishioners, are
included in the 331 deaths in St. Mary's Sub-district; 42 of
the deaths in St. Mary's Hospital were of non-parishioners,
as were also 12 of the deaths in the Children's Hospital, and
2 of the deaths in the Lock Hospital, and are therefore not
dealt with in this report.
In extra-parochial hospitals and institutions within the metropolis, there were 16 deaths of parishioners, as under:—
