Twenty-two now Gullies have been constructed, 14 feet 9-inch and
381 feet 6-inch pipe to connect the same with Sewers.
258 feet of 9 inch Pipe Sewer has been reconstructed in Shoulder
of Mutton Alley, Limehouse.
About 50 feet of 3×2 Brick Sewer in Turner's Road, Limehouse
has been reconstructed.
5 Gullies altered and repaired, and 32 feet of 6-inch pipe to connect
the same with Sewers.
6 New Flushing Boxes have been fixed.
The following Sewers have been cleansed by the Contractor of the
Board, viz.:—
600 feet of 24-inch Brick Sewer.
30 „ 12 „ Pipe Sewer.
1,540 feet of Brick Sewers, and 20,300 feet of Pipe and Brick
Sewers have been flushed by the men employed by the Board.
All the Gullies in the District have been periodically emptied, and
deodorized with chloride of zinc and water. The Dock at Island Row
has been deodorized with lime during the hot weather.
Four new Gulley Grates have been supplied.
The following Works have been done in connecting house and
gulley drains with new sewers where the old sewers have been discontinued,
viz. :—
184 feet of 6-inch pipe drains in West India Road, Limehouse.
54 „ „ Ann's Place, Commercial Road.
98 „ „ Church Row, Limehouse.

30 „ „ Globe Alley. „
4 9 „ Church Row. „
2 Side Entrances to Sewers have been constructed.
1 Old Flushing Shaft re-constructed.
1 New do. constructed.
