To the Vestry of the Hamlet of Mile End Old Town.
Report of Committee for Dusting and Cleansing.
Wednesday, 20th November, 1889.
Your Committee beg to report that they met on Monday
the 18th day of November inst., there being present Messrs.
Furness, Thomas, Bull, Upton, Osborn, W. J. Cook, Porcas,
Martin, T. Cook, Browning, and Taylor.
That your Surveyor brought up and read a report for which
your Committee beg to refer your Board to his Report Book.
(1) That your Committee examined samples, and considered
tenders for the supply of Oats as follows:
All at 40 lbs. natural.
No. 1. No. 2. No. 3.
Pechey, J. T. P. - 18/3 18/6 —
Rathbone, E. & Son 20/6 19/3 19/1½
Eagles & Son - 19/3 19/3 —
Husband, J. 19/- — —
and resolved to recommend—That the tender of Mr.
J. T. P. Pechey as per sample No. 2, at 18/6 per quarter, be
accepted, that 100 quarters be purchased, and that the agreement
be sealed.
(2) That your Committee examined samples, and considered
tenders for the supply of Beans as follows:
No. 1. No. 2.

Rathbone, E. & Son - 40/6 39/Eagles
& Son 39/- 33/-
Husband, J. 40/- —
and resolved to recommend—That the tender of Messrs.
E. Rathbone & Son as per sample No. I at 40/6 be accepted,
that 25 quarters be purchased, and that the agreement be
sealed.

—That the Report be received.
Moved by Mr. Furness seconded by Mr. Henley and resolved
—That the Report be adopted and it was resolved accordingly.
VIII. The Clerk submitted for the seal of the Vestry—
(1) Agreement with Mr. J. T. P. Pechey for supply of 100
quarters of Oats at 18/6 per quarter.
(2) Agreement with Messrs. E. Rathbone & Son for supply of
25 quarters of Beans at 40/6 per quarter.
Moved by Mr. Upton seconded by Mr. Furness and resolved
—That the seal of the Vestry be affixed to the agreements
submitted.
The seal of the Vestry was affixed thereto accordingly.
