Dear Sir—In answer to yours of the 9th inst. we have not at
present prepared any plans ot the new buildings on the ground at the
corner of White Horse Lane but we shall have much pleasure in submitting
them to you, when we take the matter in hand.

(5) That your Clerk submitted and your Committee considered
a letter of the 13th instant from the London County Council
stating that an application had been made to that Council by
Mr. Robson for permission to erect a clock tower and public
drinking fountain in front of the People's Palace, Mile End
Road as shown on accompanying plan and your Committee
resolved to reccommend—That the London County Council
be recommended not to accede to the request as the proposed
erection is to be partly on the public footway.
