Precept for year ending 31st December, 1888, £11,953 12s. 9d.,
equ&l to 8d. in the £.
The School Board Precept for the same period is £11,817 Os. 8d.;
this is chargeable on the General Rate, and is equal to a rate of 8|d.
in the £, the amount being a decrease of £585 10s. 6d. on the
pieuous yeai 6 piecept, and but for the small increase in the rateable
value, viz., £6,898, as against an increase last year of £44,247, the rate
this year would have shown a considerable decrease; as it is, the rate
is reduced by -375 of a Id. in £ on tha.t of 1886-7. The following

statement shows the approximate amounts paid by this Parish for the cost of Elections and to meet the School Board Precepts, since its incorporation.
