Encephalitis Lethargica.
Two cases of this disease were notified during the year, one a
patient aged 63 years, and the other 67 years. The latter patient
died two months after the onset of disease.
After Care of Cases of Encephalitis Lethargica.
Every case notified in previous years, of which a complete
record is kept, was visited periodically by the Inspectors for the
purpose of rendering assistance to the patient and his family, and the furnishing of progress reports.

Erysipelas.
Notifications of this disease showed a decrease from 118 cases
in 1931, to 98 in 1932.
Malaria.
Four notifications of this disease were received during the year.
As the result of inquiries, it was found that in each case the disease
had been contracted abroad. One case of malaria induced for
therapeutic purposes was notified from an asylum before the patient
moved to an address in this Borough.
Ophthalmia Neonatorum.
The number of cases notified in 1932 was 24, which is 6 less than
the number reported in 1931.
