SMALL POX.

The number of cases of Small Pox reported to us during the year
was 38; of these 31 were removed to Hospital, where one died.
There was no death in the Parish.
SCARLET FEVER.
(Decennial average, 96.4.)
This disease was prevalent and was more fatal than any other of
the group under consideration; it caused 174 deaths; 36 more than
last year; of these 28 died in Hospital, and the remainder at home.
In September a case of scarlet fever occurred in Turville buildings.
The patient, who was a girl about twelve years of age, was allowed by
her mother to run about the court. In consequence of this the disease
was communicated to several other children, one of whom died. The
mother was summoned to Worship Street, where she was fined forty
shillings and two shillings costs, or fourteen days' imprisonment. She
went to prison in default.
FEVERS.

The various forms of continued fever were reponsible for 32 deaths,
made up as follows: Typhus two (one at home and the other in
hospital), Enteric Fever, 28 (20 at home, 8 in hospital), Simple
