It will be seen in Table No. 1, Column No. 1, that the total number of Nuisances removed is 23,291, but that number does not give the
details of each separate case. For instance: the case may be an Offensive Privy—requiring, 1st. Cesspool to be emptied and filled up. 2nd. To
be Trapped and Panned. 3rd, Pipes to be laid from Siphon to Sewer, &c. If each of these were shown, as a distinct work executed, the number
in the Table and Column above alluded to, would be fully doubled.
