of the work. Institutional treatment was provided for 120

At the County Sanatorium, Milford 24

A table has been prepared which shows in comparison the
numbers of new cases for the past 10 years. The primary
infections are all cases occurring in the district. The total cases
include T.B. cases which have moved into the district and are
added to our registers.
It will be seen that there has been an increase in the primary
notifications of tuberculosis, particularly the pulmonary type. This
is probably due to some extent to the greater number of cases
coming to light as the result of the work of the Mass Radiography
Unit, but none the less it is a matter for some anxiety.
