Many of us have been apprehensive of the effect of the
present housing conditions on the incidence of tuberculosis.
An additional table has therefore been prepared this year which
shows in comparision the numbers of new cases for the past
10 years. The primary infections are all cases occurring in the
district. The total cases include T.B. cases which have moved
into the district and are added to our registers.
It will be seen that the number of new cases arising within
the district this year, although higher than last year, is in fact
just below the average.
