C.—Proceedings under Sections 11, 14 and 15 of the Housing
Act, 19 25.

Milk Supply.—There are ten registered purveyors of milk, of whom
five are cowkeepers, in the District. The premises were inspected and
found to be kept in compliance with the regulations.
The Veterinary Inspector makes quarterly examinations of the
cows, numbering about 150, belonging to the registered cowkeepers.
No case of tuberculosis was discovered during the year, but a few
cases of simple mammitis were reported; the milk of these cows was
kept from use for human consumption.
One licence for the sale of certified milk was issued.
Meat.—Notices of the requirements of the Public Health (Meat)
Regulations, 1924, were sent to each butcher, and the slaughter-houses
and shops were inspected. Regular notices of times of slaughter were
received by the Sanitary Inspector, who paid occasional visits and
examined the carcases.
On one occasion the carcase of a bull was found to be extensively
affected by tuberculosis, and was condemned.
