Deaths
During the year 554 deaths were registered, of which 291
were males, and 263 were females, as compared with 560 deaths
last year.
The death rate for the year was equal to 8.3 per 1,000 of
the population, as compared with 8.5 per 1,000 in 1937.
The death rate for England and Wales was 11.6 per 1,000
for the year 1938, and 12.4 per 1,000 for 1937.
