LECTURES AND DEMONSTRATIONS TO MIDWIVES.
Lectures and Demonstrations to Midwives have been arranged during
the year under the joint auspices of the London and Middlesex County
Councils, and Tottenham midwives have availed themselves of the
privilege to attend.
MIDWIVES' FEES.

During the year your Committee paid, or contributed to the Fees of Midwives in 27 cases, namely:—

Authorisation of attendance in necessitous cases18
Compensation for loss of practice where the patient was taken to the Ante Natal Clinic, and was recommended and subsequently admitted to hospital for confinement6
Compensation for loss of practice, where a midwife was in contact with an infectious disease and debarred from attending other patients, a substitute being employed3
