Disposal of Condemned Food
Where possible condemned foodstuffs are sent to a waste
products factory where they are processed for non-edible
purposes. Foodstuffs which are not suitable for such disposal
are buried at the Council's refuse tip.
Food and Drugs Act, 1938—Food and Drugs Authority
The Middlesex County Council is the Food and Drugs
Authority for the district.
The Public Control Department carry out the provisions of the Food and Drugs Act, 1938 operated by the County Council and I am indebted to the Chief Officer of that Department for the following figures of samples taken in this district:—
