SANITATION OF SCHOOL BUILDINGS.
In this district there are 13 public elementary schools, of which
three are modern, the remainder being for the most part old and
lacking in good sanitary conditions.
As a result of the occurrence of an outbreak of Diphtheria at the
Isleworth Blue Girls' School, a complete inspection of the premises
was made and reported to the Education Committee, but little or
nothing has been done to correct the unsatisfactory state of things
found to exist.
It is hoped to examine the schools in detail and submit
particulars in the next Annual Report.
