One thousand and nine preliminary or informal notices
were served in respect of 1,128 houses.
One hundred and fifty-eight statutory notices were served
in respect of 172 houses.
The necessary work was executed in all but 121 cases,
which were not completed by the end of the year. In 55 of
these, the work was actually in hand at the close of the year.
Table III. gives a summary of the nuisances abated, and
sanitary improvement carried out under the supervision of
the Inspectorial Staff.
