the case of Durnsford Road and wood paving in Worple and
Merton Roads.
Beverley Brook:—This brook has been deepened 2-ft.
6-ins. at Coombe Bridge, tailing out to the Wandsworth
boundary. The work has reduced the level of the sub-soil
water in the Merton and Wimbledon districts.
Acuba Road Ditch:—A section of this ditch has now been
culverted.
Refuse Collection:—2 covered motor vehicles for removal
of house refuse have been found economical and hygienic and
others have , been ordered.
Housing:—The Council are erecting 60 houses in Durnsford
Road, consisting of living room, 13-ft. 5-ins. × 12-ft.;
kitchenette, 9-ft. 10-ins. × 9-ft. 5-ins. with larder, bathroom
and W.C. on ground floor. There are three bedrooms on the
first floor, size, 13-ft. 7-ins. × 9-ft. 9-ins.; 11-ft. 9-ins. × 8-ft.
4-ins.; and 8-ft. × 8-ft. 9-ins.
The average frontage of ground to each house is 19-ft.,
and depth, 150-ft.
