From the above table it will be seen that of 1,961 children, 1,544
or 78.7 per cent., were breast-fed on first being visited, but 366, or
18.7 had no separate sleeping accommodation. The particulars in
respect of Housing accommodation are exceptionally interesting in
view of the assessment required for the purposes of the Housing Act,
and show that only 31.2 per cent. of the families visited had a house
to themselves, while 8.6 per cent. of families were living in one
room.
