During 1953, a total number of 2,454 children attended at the Diphtheria Prevention Clinics, (1,426 at Valentines Clinic, 847 at Mayesbrook
and 181 at Manford Way), making a total number of attendances of 6,405 (3,639, 2,251 and 515), with an average per session of
59, 43 and 11 respectively.
During 1953, 69 private doctors were supplied with prophylactic for the immunisation of 2,123 children and record cards were received
from general practitioners as follows:—
