It will be seen from the above figures that of 127 persons who suffered
from acute primary pneumonia there were 10 deaths, equal to 7.8 per cent.;
and in the case of acute influenzal pneumonia 98 persons with 14 deaths,
equal to 14.2 per cent.
(h) Tuberculosis.—During the year 1951 there was 211 new notifications
of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and 28 of other forms of Tuberculosis. 16 cases
of Pulmonary and 5 cases of Non-Pulmonary Tuberculosis were transferred
to Ilford.
