ISOLATION HOSPITAL.
There have been many less new admissions to the Isolation
Hospital than for some years past. This has been due (1) to a
marked decline in the incidence of diphtheria, (2) to the longer
stay in Hospital of the surgical cases of tuberculosis as compared
with the previous short stay of pulmonary cases.
242 patients were admitted in 1924, 314 in 1923, 411 in 1922,
and 493 in 1921.
