Drains.
147 applications were received during the year for the
construction of new, and reconstruction of existing drains,
at 172 premises within the District. The whole of the
work laid was tested by the Board's officials before being
covered in; the fees received in respect of the same
amounted to £31 5s.
Sewers.
The following Sewer works were performed during
the year:—
*Kingsgate Street 590ft. run new 4ft. by 2ft. 6in. brick
sewer.
Eagle Street 140ft. ditto.
Little Queen Street (north
end) 115ft. run new 4ft. 0in, by 2ft. 6in. brick
sewer.
Chenies Street New Manhole.
Upper Bedford Place Ditto.
Hunter Street New side entrance and Manholes.
Towards the cost of this work the Board of Works for the Holborn District
contributed £175.
