It will be observed that 29 of these samples, or 9.l per
cent., were certified to be adulterated. These figures
compare favourably with the two previous years, when the
percentage of adulteration was as follows:—
1893-4 19.1 percent.
1894-5 12.9 „
MILK.
A very large number of samples of the milk supplied
to the District have been examined, 176 in all. Of these
four were found to be of poor quality, while 19 were
certified to be adulterated (about 10.8 per cent).
