The London County Council (General Powers) Act, 1928,
enables sanitary authorities to remove verminous persons to
a cleansing station and to detain them until they are free
from vermin. No action was taken under this section during
the year.
TUBERCULOSIS.
Notifications. During the year, excluding duplicates,
250 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and 52 cases of nonpulmonary
tuberculosis were notified. Cases of tuberculosis
are frequently notified more than once, and during the year
71 duplicate notifications were received.
