DEATHS
The total number of deaths appertaining to the Borough and
registered during the year was 692. Of this number, 325 were
males and 367 females.
The Crude Death Rate for the year 1953 is 10.7 per 1.000 total
population. (Corrected rate for comparison purposes. 9.3.)
The rate for England and Wales is 11.4 and 12.5 for the
Administrative County of London.

Once again the deaths from Tuberculosis are remarkably low.
