The Hospital is a good one with an excellent modern observation
block, built on the cubicle system, and has accommodation for
one hundred and thirty patients.
The cases admitted are for the most part those of scarlet fever
and diphtheria, but in case of necessity other infectious cases can
also be dealt with.
2. Smallpox.
The Middlesex County Council is responsible for the provision
of isolation accommodation for cases of smallpox occurring in this
Borough. The accommodation is provided by arrangement between
the Middlesex and London County Councils at one of the London
County Council Smallpox Hospitals.
3. Tuberculosis.

Provision for the treatment of tuberculosis is made by the Middlesex County Council, and I am indebted to Dr. Tate, the County Medical Officer, for the following information showing the accommodation available at the different institutions during 1933.
